Here are the steps to install the OS 6 on the BlackBerry Bold 9700
– Uninstall the old computer any trace of the BlackBerry OS (Go to Windows Control Panel -> Uninstall Programs and select BlackBerry Device Software)
– Install the BlackBerry OS 6.0.0.344 recently downloaded (double click, next, next)
– Connect your Bold 9700 and use Desktop Manager 6.0 (DM) to back up your device.
– Navigate to the path C: \ program files \ common files \ research in motion \ apploader \ delete the file and run the file vendor.xml loader.exe
– Follow the instructions displayed by the screens, but be careful to make the checks and carefully read what you want or not install
– When finished, ask us if we make a backup device and restore third-party applications, select No as the backup and was previously made
– Wait 20 to 30 minutes until the process is completed and the phone completely reboot before disconnecting
– Wait a few minutes and do a battery pull MS
– Then open DM and choose to restore from a backup file, select the most recent backup, choose the items you want to restore (only select items such as contacts / calendar / tasks / notes / messages, etc.. – user data, not configuration)
– Install the latest version of your applications and make sure they work properly
– Resetting the BlackBerry Bold 9700 with OS 6.0 on a favorite and enjoy

– No third-party applications to restore the apploader
– Make a manual backup before starting this process

This is a hybrid for the 8520/8900/9000 device. I recommend uninstalling any other OS’s off of your computer and running CCleaner (including registry cleaner) to ensure a clean install. Please back up all your data before proceeding.

So the .822 base plays nice after all! I figured we’d take this up a level on this one… I ran .862 as the base java over the .822 base and it performed like a champ! Of course, I added the obligatory 6.0 files. I even included some from the newest 9800 leak! You should recognize fast internet with this build. I would like a full report on battery life with this one. If it doesn’t perform up to par then I think I am going to drop the next build’s base java down to .841 (which has great battery, as Storm users). So post away!

It is important to keep in mind that the first couple reboots will take a lot longer than normal. Also, battery life will not be good until the device settles which usually takes 24-48 hours. If you have it loaded and are experiencing sub-par performance, consider wiping a reloading. Another helpful utility is to every once in a while give your phone a security wipe.

Ghl power os6 9700 v3

This a good hybrid from Bandung-Flasher.net> Apparently something he took pride in. And from what I have heard, works like a charm on 9700. Supposedly this version has a great battery and memory management:
